About Sultan Alkhatib

Sultan Alkhatib, pianist, conductor of Iraqi choirs and specialist in History of Art, launches an international art competition funded by private funding through partnership with TFS Technology Solutions. This competition targets the talented young artists of 24 years and under. ADDustour newspaper interviewed him over the phone at his residence in Doha, Qatar.

Art Competition Launched

It took three years to prepare, 1048 universities and academies have been asked to encourage their students to participate. It will be a rare opportunity for the young participants of different nationalities to share their creativity with the world in different forms of classic art: Classical music | Pantomime | Fine Arts | Ballet.

Contest features        

Participation is free, and the first 70 contestants are accepted for assessment by the Jury in each category. There are two types of Cash prizes: Jury winner prize and Audience voting winner prize. Perhaps the unique thing about these competitions is that the contestant needs to submit ONLY ONE work by uploading (video / photo) based on published Terms & Conditions. The Competition is open to all nationalities around the world as it is a global online platform for 4 categories: Music, a lyric piece titled "Ava Maria" by Caccini accompanied by a musical instrument. Pantomime, an act titled "Absolute Music", in solo or in group, no longer than 3 minutes. Fine arts competition, an artwork with the title "No Music, no Life". For the Ballet competition, an act titled "Spartacus and Phrygia Act 3, Adagio", from Spartacus by Khachaturian.
